Grading Policy
East Cary Middle School is on a 10 point grading scale. I will post examples below.

Late Policy:
Late work will be accepted. After, if the work has not been turned in after 2 days, it will be noted in the grade book as a 0.
Grading percentages:
Major (tests, papers, and big projects): 40%

- The class will be project heavy. There will be more projects than tests. This is due to the needs of the class. There will at least be one major paper a quarter.
- Classwork will focus on small grammar and reading assignments. Unfinished assignments may be assigned for homework.
- Instead of vocabulary quizzes, the students will be completing a mini-project. This should take a class period to complete. They have a vocabulary menu with detailed instructions for them to follow. For root words we will be creating advertisements for a chosen root word.
- Students will be assignment larger homework assignments on Monday. These assignments include articles of the week and Greek roots.
